Buying a home in Australia?

Find a home loan with Peach - for overseas and Australian borrowers

Are you looking at buying a home in Australia? Whether you're living overseas or in Australia, Peach can help you finance an Australian home or investment property. We also have relationships (no referral fees paid) with buyers agents in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne who may be able to assist you to find the property that you are after.

Property is regulated on a state / territory basis and therefore we have 8 different jurisdictions to deal with.  Each one has different taxes (stamp duty) - some have incentives for certain types of property eg: newly constructed homes or first home buyers etc.

Our staff are available to advise you on your situation whether you are considering a residential property and require a budget 'no-frills' home loan or are expanding a commercial operation to Australia and are seeking a professional home loan package.

Or if you would like to discuss your options first call us direct on +61 2 6626 6832. We're confident you'll appreciate the Peach service!

Note to overseas investors:

Investment in the Australian property market generally requires pre-approval from the Foreign Investment Review Board. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to inquire if any approval is required. A streamlined Residential Real Estate application form can be obtained online here; this form should be completed by non-residents seeking to acquire an interest in the Australian residential property market as individuals (and not through a company or trust).

The term 'non-resident' for lending purposes applies to a person who:

  • Permanently resides out of Australia and is not an Australian citizen;
  • Is an Australian citizen that has been living and working out of Australia for more than 6 consecutive months;
  • Is not an Australian citizen but has been residing in Australia for less than 6 consecutive months.
